In Kyushu, the foundation of our business, electricity demand is expected to continue growing substantially, driven by the expansion of semiconductor plants, data centers, and other facilities, as well as accelerating electrification. At the same time, the global transition toward carbon neutrality is increasing both the need for low-carbon and decarbonized energy and the value society places on it. We intend to capture these opportunities and, through our energy services businesses, deliver new value to customers and society while growing together with the communities we serve. In power generation, safety remains our highest priority as we continue to build on a strong track record of stable operation while advancing carbon reduction and decarbonization and improving productivity. In doing so, we will strengthen profitability and position ourselves to meet future growth in electricity demand. In retail, we will respond to increasingly diverse and sophisticated customer needs and remain their most trusted partner. We will expand and evolve our service offerings, beginning with platform-based businesses and making full use of digital technology, to develop new pillars of earnings. As international fuel and electricity markets undergo increasingly dramatic change, we will further optimize fuel trading, electricity trading, and supply-demand operations to reduce business risk, secure a stable supply, and expand earnings. By capturing these growth opportunities, we will create a virtuous cycle of regional development and enhanced corporate value.
