Basic policy regarding the appropriation of profits and dividends

We have based our policy of profit distribution on expanding our shareholder value from a medium- to long-term perspective while maintaining stable dividends.

Note: Dividends up to the interim dividend for FY2026 were paid by Kyushu Electric Power Company, Incorporated, which became a wholly owned subsidiary through the share transfer.

Dividends

Regarding the interim dividend for FY2025 (April 1 2025 to March 31, 2026), we decided to distribute a dividend of 25 yen per common share, taking into account the performance of the current fiscal year as well as the medium- to long-term financial outlook and balance.
Additionally, for Class B preferred shares, we decided to distribute an interim dividend of 1,450,000 yen per share. We also plan to pay a year-end dividend in the same amount as the interim dividend.

FAQ

When do dividend payments start?
Payment dates differ each year, but interim dividends are usually paid in early December and year-end dividends at the end of June.
(Record dates: September 30 for interim and March 31 for year-end.)
I want to change my dividend payment method.
You can receive dividend payments by one of the following methods:
  • Receiving cash at Japan Post Bank or post offices using the dividend receipt
  • Receiving payment by bank transfer

Can I still receive my dividend even though the payment period indicated on the dividend receipt has expired?
Dividends can no longer be received at Japan Post Bank or post offices after the payment period has expired, even if you present the dividend receipt.
Fill in the required items in the "Method of Receiving Dividends After the Payment Period" section on the back of the dividend receipt, affix your seal in the "Seal of Recipient" field on the front, and then send the completed form to the Stock Transfer Agency Department of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Ltd.
If you do not claim your payment within five years from the payment start date, we will be unable to make the payment in accordance with our Articles of Incorporation. Please complete the necessary procedures as soon as possible.
I have lost my dividend receipt, so can you please reissue it?
We can send you the necessary documents. Please contact the Stock Transfer Agency Department of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Ltd.
If you do not claim your payment within five years from the payment start date, we will be unable to make the payment in accordance with our Articles of Incorporation. Please complete the necessary procedures as soon as possible.
