Accessibility

"Accessibility" means ensuring that the information provided on this site is properly conveyed and that all users, including those with temporary or permanent disabilities and the elderly, can easily use the provided functions and services.

• To support persons using screen readers or text-based browsers, we have added alternative text information (such as "alt" attributes) for images such as photos and illustrations.
• To ensure compatibility with screen readers, the notation for time and date information has been standardized in formats such as "Month Day at Time."
(Abbreviated notations such as "10/1/2004" are not used.)
• Absolute font-size values have not been applied to any text information so that users can adjust the size of all text in their browser.
• Alternative information is provided for information used in video and similar media to the extent possible.
• For content that cannot be played or displayed using standard browser functions (such as Flash or PDF files), we provide information on where to obtain the latest version of the required plugin.
